On May 23rd 2018, officer of Vietnamese Fulbright Scholar Program had a meeting with An Giang University staff for an introduction to program eligibility, criteria, and themes for prospective candidates.
Vietnamese Fulbright Scholar Program is one of the Fulbright programs in Vietnam to send Vietnamese scholars to lecture and research at American universities and institutions from 5 to 9 months.
At the meeting, Ms. Do Thu Huong – Program Assistant shared useful information about program history, traditional and non-traditional programs, selection criteria and procedure, application preparation, especially personal statement and letters of recommendations.

Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Hue – Vice Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages as a program awardee and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Lam – Lecturer of Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources shared their experience emphasising on motivation and passion when applying for the program. Besides, the two scholars offered much useful information on preparing the CV, research proposal, letters of recommendations, and frequent access to the program webpage for updated information. It was noted that the CV and research proposal should be truthful to the candidates’ passion and expertise, and the letters of recommendations should be written by those who know the candidates well, and the need to successfully complete the program.
