On the morning of April 11, 2017, the Research Center for Social Sciences and Humanities held a scientific workshop on "Demand for teachers in high schools and vocational schools in An Giang by 2030 - Forecast results"
The workshop aimed to gather opinions of experts, managers and professional staff of departments, institutes and schools on the forecast results of the provincial project " Research on the forecast demand of teachers in high schools and vocational schools in An Giang by 2030" after nearly 02 years of implementation.
Attending the workshop were Dr. Truong Cong Thanh - Director of Center for Educational Research of Preschools and High Schools (Educational Research Institute, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education), MSc. Le Minh Tung - Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of An Giang, representatives of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Education and Training, Department of Science and Technology of An Giang province, staffs and lecturers of An Giang University, An Giang Vocational College, Research Center for Social Sciences and Humanities and the research team.
At the workshop, MSc. Tran Thi Kim Lien, the project leader, gave a summary report on the study results, Dr. Tran Thi Hong (Institute for Family and Gender Studies, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) presented the results of forecasting the trend of teachers in high schools and vocational schools. Experts and delegates exchanged views and suggestions with the project leader and research team on issues related to forecasting methods and data, analyzing factors affecting the forecast, adding forecast demand on quality of teachers in high schools and vocational schools in An Giang…
Based on the comments of the experts and participants of the workshop, the research leader and team will supplement and finalize the forecast results to meet the set objectives.
